We’re thrilled to introduce a powerful new addition to our product line: a GMSL2 deserializer HAT for Raspberry Pi 5, based on the MAX96724 chip from Analog Devices. This board allows seamless connection of up to four GMSL2 cameras to your RPi5, delivering reliable high-speed video transmission — all through a single coaxial cable per camera, thanks to Power over Coax (PoC).
What Is the GMSL2 HAT for Raspberry Pi 5?
Our new GMSL2 HAT is a plug-and-play expansion board that enables Raspberry Pi 5 to connect and process video streams from up to four GMSL2 camera modules simultaneously. It’s built around the MAX96724 deserializer and is compatible with all previously released Videtronic GMSL2 serializer modules.
Thanks to Power over Coax (PoC) support, you only need a single cable per camera — reducing wiring complexity while keeping installations neat and robust. This solution is ideal for multi-camera setups in robotics, drones, AI vision, and industrial monitoring applications.
